Knepp Rewilding project in the Late Autumn/Winter. A scene I have re-visited many times. On previous visits the logs were covered with various frilly fungi shapes but on the visit, which inspired this painting, a lake had formed creating a mirror like sheet beneath the stumps. Every visit delivers a new and exciting perspective on nature and its patterns, colours and textures.
